Sports holidays are not just about the mountains!
Experience northern Bohuslän in winter, with fantastic nature in the world’s most beautiful archipelago.
Stay right by the sea and nature, try sea swimming with the kids, visit the sea sauna afterwards, and afterwards you can show off our cold bathing caps available for purchase at the hotel. Throw yourself into the water slide in our family pool Stora Blå, be challenged in shuffleboard, and get food and drinks suitable for both young and old. Our playroom is open for children every day during week 7+8.
The family pool Stora Blå is open every day from 9.00-21.00 and during week 8 the pool kiosk is open every day from 11.00-18.00 (opening hours only Fri-Sun)
At SPA Horisont we have a 16 year limit – open every day from 09.00. You pre-book to guarantee a place or drop in, subject to availability.
For children under the age of 16, we offer treatment times where we can make almost all our treatments child-friendly. Contact us to find out more.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday 15.00 -17.00 Crafts and games (face painting) in the lobby
Saturday 10.30 – 11.30 Treasure hunt (the pirates and sailors will take you on an exciting treasure hunt) We meet at the reception
Movement fun with games, balls, table tennis, slackline and bouncy castles in the Skagerrak event hall from February 13 to February 23 from 12:00 to 18:00.
Entrance 60 kr swish or vipps. Staffed with staff but we want at least one adult to be with the child on site.
There are also our skilled activity leaders who start games every hour during opening hours in the form of dance, obstacle courses, soap bubbles, music, penalty shoot-outs, ping pong tournaments like King, etc. all based on the wishes of the children and young people.
AndrA EXIT TIPS
Take a trip to nearby Hällristningarna in Tanum – a UNESCO World Heritage Site with an interesting child-friendly museum – Vitlycke Museum. Or visit Nordens Ark, Havets hus Väderöarna or Kosteröarna which are a short drive away.
In cold weather for a longer period of time, a pond, Bryggeridammen in Grebbestad, about 2 km from the hotel is used as a small skating rink for all children. There are hockey goals and a small heating house available.
Fjällbacka with the Ingrid Bergman statue and the “Hell Gap”, the King’s Gorge, where the horses are ridden into the robber’s castle in Ronja Rövardotter, is a very fascinating walk under the large boulders stuck in the gorge. A beach walk from the hotel down to the pier in Grebbestad and climbing Stöberget to see the wonderful view all the way to the Weather Islands in fine weather can also be recommended. At the T-pier in Grebbestad, the fishing boats are moored.
Shopping is available both in cozy Grebbestad and Sportshopens flagship store is located right at the entrance to the hotel. It is beautifully designed in collaboration with kostaboda, glasriket. Tanum’s shopping center in Tanumshede with everything from pharmacies, hairdressers to grocery stores, clothing stores and hardware stores.
You book our sports holiday package during the period February 7 to February 23

The price per person varies based on the day of the week, type of accommodation, number of people per room and demand. In the online booking, you can search by date and get available room types with exact prices for each option. When booking by email or phone, there is an administrative fee.
Book accommodation hotel room or cottage
We have three choices to stay overnight – stay in one of our hotel rooms, in self-catering cottage or cottage with hotel standard.
The difference between self-catering and hotel standard cabins is that bed linen, towels, breakfast and entrance to the Stora Blå family pool are included in the hotel standard, and this is purchased in the self-catering cabin. In both cabin types you can prepare your own meals in the cabin kitchen.
Seafood buffet on Friday evening
A delicious seafood buffet where all the salty delights of the sea come together with rich accessories on a sumptuous buffet table. We serve crayfish, shrimps, mussels, crabs and much more. Included for those who booked the Archipelago Package with dinner included on Friday (not during the Christmas table season or during the period June 15-August 15)
