A unique fishery for wild oysters
On the oyster beds outside Grebbestad you can find wild oysters of absolute world class. The Klemming brothers dive and hand-pick Grebbestad oysters and sell oysters to most of Sweden’s renowned restaurants. You will learn where the oysters live and how to manage a wild oyster bank in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way and of course both feel, taste and open oysters on site, welcome to a real oyster safari at the boathouse on the pier.
In spring 2023, the Grebbestad oyster was granted a protected designation of origin.
Oyster tasting
Oysters are the shellfish that Grebbestad is most associated with and here, without exaggeration, the oysters are world class. Participants in this activity will meet experts from Grebbestad and listen to stories about “Ostrea Edulis”.

Join us on a guided tour of the archipelago and experience traditional lobster fishing up close. This is not an organized experience – the day can take the form that the weather, conditions and the rhythm of the sea determine.
