Crayfish boil in Sjöboden Udden or on the pier by the sea – a beloved tradition here at TanumStrand.

Experience an authentic Bohuslän crayfish boil on the jetty by the sea and taste freshly caught crayfish that are cooked into salty delicacies on the jetty. Experts will be on hand to give you the best tips on dill, salt, secrets and cooking time. Of course, we end with a tasting around the pot and a glass of bubbly.

When is the best time to eat seafood?

Autumn is our best seafood season! A rule of thumb is to eat seafood only during months with the letter “R” in their name. That means September to April.

We therefore choose to have a break in the crayfish boil during the summer period from midsummer to mid-August.

Sjöboden Udden

At the far end of the pier all year round you will find Sjöboden Udden.

Charming boathouse style inside and a fantastic terrace with the sea right outside.

They serve pizza with an extra touch, boil crayfish and serve oysters for individuals and companies.
