Crayfish boil in the boathouse by the sea – a beloved tradition here at TanumStrand.

Experience an authentic Bohuslän crayfish boil on the jetty next to the sea and taste freshly caught crayfish that are cooked into salty delicacies on the jetty. Experts will be on hand to give you the best tips on dill, salt, secrets and cooking time. Of course, we end with a tasting around the pot and a glass of bubbly.

Every Saturday at 14.00 – 17.00 (not Midsummer to Sunday week 32)

Subject to raw material shortages. We serve high quality fresh oysters and crayfish picked and caught by local fishermen, therefore there may be a few dates per year that we do not receive delivery.

Two freshly caught and cooked crayfish and a glass of bubbly, SEK 295/person
One crab oyster and a glass of bubbly, SEK 235/person

Drop-in

We reserve the right to sell out of crayfish and oysters during opening hours.

When is the best time to eat seafood?

Autumn is our best seafood season! A rule of thumb is to eat seafood only during months with the letter “R” in the name. That means September to April.

We therefore choose not to serve seafood during the summer period from midsummer to mid-August.

Larger groups and companies

We organize crayfish boils on request for both individuals and companies. The activity is adapted to the group size and can be experienced by both you as a small group with a few and up to 40 people at a time.

Can be booked for group Tuesday to Saturday.
