TanumStrand processes personal data for users and customers who use our services (the “Services”). We care about your personal privacy and our procedures focus on protecting your personal data correctly in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation. What is personal data?
Personal data means any data that can be used to identify a person, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and electronic identifiers such as IP addresses if they are linked to natural persons. TanumStrand uses the personal data primarily to administer, provide, develop and maintain the Services, process your bookings, optimize your experience of the Services and to be able to individualize communication with you. By providing your Personal Data to us and agreeing to the applicable terms, you consent to the processing of your Personal Data as set out in the specific terms and conditions of each Service and this Privacy Policy. If the law requires a more specific consent from you, we will of course ask for such consent.
Who is responsible for the personal data collected?
Tanums Hotell- och Konferens AB, org. no. 556259-3847, with address TanumStrand SPA & Resort, 457 95 Grebbestad, is the data controller for the company’s processing of personal data (“TanumStrand SPA & Resort”).
What personal data is processed and when
We only collect personal data that is relevant for the purpose and the data collected depends on the services you use. The information that may be collected is, for example, information about name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address, user history, booking preferences, payments, requirements for special diets or disability adaptation and other information you provide when using the Services.
When visiting the website
TanumStrand may collect information about your preferences and how you use our website, how you found our website and certain demographic and geographical data. This data is also used to analyze statistics and user behavior, as well as to optimize the quality and experience of the website.
When booking accommodation
In order to process accommodation bookings, we need to collect personal data such as name, address, email and phone number. This is necessary for the receipt of bookings, changes and cancellations. We also use the information to send out booking confirmations related to what you have booked or other communications such as offers or follow-up of your stay. This collection of personal data has its legal basis in the “performance of the service contract”, and is necessary for us to fulfill our obligations under the service contract. The data is kept until the service has been provided and for a subsequent period of 24 months in order to handle any complaints.
For email marketing and surveys
When you have provided information when contacting TanumStrand, such as signing up for our newsletters or becoming a member of Tanumstrands Friends, your e-mail address is saved. We also save and process the information we collect about your use of our mailings, such as opening the newsletters, which links are clicked on and the information you show interest in. Your e-mail address is saved for as long as you choose to subscribe to our newsletters.
Storage and transfer of your personal data
TanumStrand stores personal data in accordance with current legislation. We use subcontractors for e.g. IT and system operations and personal data may therefore be transferred to these subcontractors. Our subcontractors process your personal data on behalf of TanumStrand and in their capacity as data processor according to law. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA.
TanumStrand will retain your information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. If you unsubscribe from the Services, we will delete your personal data as soon as we can, with the exception of de-identified information that we may save for statistical purposes.
Modification, deletion and review of your personal data
TanumStrand will, at your request or when we discover it ourselves, correct or delete incorrect or incomplete information. You have the right to know what personal data about you is being processed. By making a written request to TanumStrand with your signature, name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, an extract will be sent to your registered address.
