Good to know before your stay
Here we have collected some “Good to know information” for your stay and the frequently asked questions that you as a guest may have before, during or after your stay.
Paid and ready
Having everything paid and ready when you arrive makes check-in and check-out easier. If you booked online, you will have paid for your stay at the time of booking, and if you booked directly with us, you will have been sent a payment link. Contact us if you need it again.
Check in:
The room is guaranteed to be checked in from 16:00 on the day of arrival. If you arrive earlier than 16:00, luggage storage is available.

Download our app on the appstore or google play store – TanumStrand SPA & Resort.
You need to provide us with an email address and phone number in advance. This can also be done on site if you come to the reception.
Please note that check-in is not guaranteed before 16:00. If your room is ready before then, you can check in earlier. If you receive an error message on the app before 16:00, your room may not be ready yet. If you arrive earlier than 16:00, luggage storage is available.
The app works for those who booked 1 room – not on group bookings.
The same day as your arrival around lunchtime, you will receive a text message from us if you want to check in digitally and get a key in your mobile. You will then receive a booking number and surname to be used as well as a reference and the following instructions apply:
- Download the app from the Appstore or Google play store – TanumStrand SPA & Resort.
- Click on the round symbol “check in”
- Fill in the booking reference and surname – use the booking reference and surname given to you in your text message – OR, you can also choose to enter your surname and arrival/departure date. (reservation numbers made online or through other external travel agencies are not valid)
- Click on “Complete your check-in ” – You will now see your room number and date of stay. You need to press Complete your check-in for it to work.
- Once your check-in is complete, go to the next round symbol “Get room key” and enter your room number and surname.
- A spinning scan symbol will now appear and you can open your accommodation by put your phone against the lock for about 3 seconds (note: hold the phone close to the lock) You will hear the door unlock.
- When you pick up your key for the first time, the symbol “Open the door” will be displayed
- If you need more digital keys for the same room, use another device/phone and do the same. However, you do not need to check in again, you just need to go to “Get key”. One key per device, but if you are several people in the same room, just download as many as you want on each device.
Check-out:
Check carefully that you have not left anything in your hotel room/cottage.
For guests staying in a hotel room or hotel cabin, check-out is no later than 11:00.
For self-catering cottage guests, check-out is no later than 10:00.
Departure cleaning is included for all accommodations, but dishwashing and garbage collection is done by yourself if you are a house guest. If you have physical keys, please leave them at reception when you check out.
Keep track of your booked appointments
If you have booked a package with us, you have been assigned a dinner time, please check the time with us upon arrival. If you have booked a SPA, you have chosen a time. Make sure to be in place well before your SPA time starts.
Wifi
Connect to the MyCloud network and follow the instructions.
Cleaning during your stay
When you stay more than one night, we will not clean your room until departure, unless you ask for it. Please post a cleaning sign in your room the day before or contact reception if you want your room cleaned before departure.
Please help us with waste sorting at your accommodation. Put metal, plastic, paper packaging aside and our staff will take this when cleaning.
Use the same towel several times if you can and help us keep your stay climate-friendly together.
Waste sorting for guests in hotel rooms
In the hotel rooms, you are offered to sort paper, plates and food, which you can dispose of in sorting bins in the corridor. Other garbage such as glass bottles, cardboard and sheet metal, you put on the desk so that the cleaning staff takes and sorts these in the various sorting containers we have with us.
Our resort is partially adapted for disabled people.
Elevator, ramps, braille in the elevator, and a number of our hotel rooms are adapted and two of our cottages have outdoor ramps.
We are also included in the West Sweden Tourist Board’s accessibility database.
Parking space
Parking is free at TanumStrand, and permitted in designated parking lots. There are several parking lots at each cottage village, and at the hotel.
Charging an electric car
On the facade wall of the large Skagerrak event hall there are charging stations for electric cars. You charge via the PAIR RECHARGE app.
Remember to bring the charging cable that fits your car model.
