How we handle your personal data
TanumStrand processes personal data for users and customers who use our services (the “Services”).
We care about your personal privacy and our routines focus on protecting your personal data correctly in accordance with the data protection regulation. Our policy explains how we collect and process personal data, as well as how we use cookies on our website.
What is personal data?
Personal data means all data that can be used to identify a person, such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and electronic identifiers such as IP addresses if they are linked to physical persons. TanumStrand uses the personal data mainly to administer, provide, develop and maintain the Services, process your bookings, optimize your experience of the Services and to be able to individualize the communication with you. By submitting your Personal Data to us and agreeing to the applicable terms and conditions, you consent to your Personal Data being processed in accordance with what is stated in the special terms and conditions for each service and this personal data policy. If the law requires a more specific consent from you, we will of course ask for such consent.
Who is responsible for the personal data collected?
Tanums Hotell-och Konferens AB, org. no. 556259-3847, with address TanumStrand, 457 95 Grebbestad is the personal data controller for the company’s processing of personal data (“TanumStrand”).
What personal data is processed and when We only collect personal data that is relevant for the purpose and which data is collected depends on which services you use.
The information that may be collected is e.g. information about name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address, user history, booking preferences, payments, requirements for special diet or disability adaptation and other information that you provide when using the Services.
When visiting the website TanumStrand may save information about your preferences and how you use our website, how you found our website and certain types of demographic and geographic data. This data is also used to analyze statistics and user behavior, as well as to optimize the quality and experience of the website.
When booking accommodation
In order to manage accommodation bookings, we need to collect personal data such as name, address, e-mail and telephone number. This is necessary for receiving bookings, re-bookings and cancellations. We also use the information to be able to send out booking confirmations relating to what you have booked or other communications such as offers or follow-up of your stay. This collection of personal data has its legal basis in the “fulfillment of the service agreement”, and is required in order for us to be able to fulfill our obligations according to the service agreement. The data is saved until the service has been completed and for a subsequent period of 24 months in order to be able to handle any complaints.
For email marketing and surveys
When you yourself have entered information when contacting TanumStrand, such as signing up for our newsletters or if you become a member of Tanumstrand’s Friends, your e-mail address is saved. We also save and process the information we collect about your use of our mailings, e.g. opening the newsletters, which links are clicked on and the information you show interest in. Your e-mail address is saved as long as you choose to subscribe to our newsletters.
Storage and transfer of your personal data TanumStrand stores personal data in accordance with current legislation.
We use subcontractors for e.g. IT and system operation and personal data may therefore be transferred to these subcontractors. Our subcontractors handle your personal data on behalf of TanumStrand and in the capacity of personal data processor according to law. We do not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. TanumStrand saves your data as long as it is necessary to achieve the purposes described here in the policy. If you unregister from the Services, we will delete your personal data as soon as we can, with the exception of de-identified information that we may save for statistical purposes. Change, deletion and review of your personal data TanumStrand will, at your request or when we discover it ourselves, correct or delete incorrect or incomplete information. You have the right to know which personal data about you is being processed. By making a written request to TanumStrand with your signature, name, address, phone number and email address, an extract will be sent to your civil registry address. You can request that your Personal Data be deleted from our register at any time by contacting TanumStrand via our contact form.
